About Nicki
From 1998, I studied then worked in the Event Industry for around 10 years but always felt there was something missing and finally realised my heart just wasn’t in it. Firstly, I made the move to radically change professional goals and launched into studying fitness and wellbeing.
In 2007, whilst working for a private fitness and nutrition company I found a great deal of satisfaction in helping clients reach their personal fitness targets. This inspired me to further my education by studying complementary therapies, in particular Remedial and Sports Massage. Moreover, this interest stemmed from the relief experienced from many years of chronic pain resulting from an old injury. Remedial Massage coupled with Reflexology saw a dramatic improvement of my health and quality of life. After that, my attraction to holistic therapies turned into a strong desire to help others in the same way.
At this time, my first job in bodywork was working for an Osteopathy clinic in Aberdeen. By 2011 I had moved overseas to Dubai and continued my career working with a variety of different clients. Subsequently, I began to treat a range of conditions from modern life aches and pains, to sports injuries and prevention.

Regular clients included sessions with rugby players, marathon runners and ballet dancers. Following this, I started to work with infertility and pregnancy through Reflexology, which became a focal point following several positive outcomes. For the most part, the benefits of this therapy before birth to mother and baby are outstanding.
After that, whilst living in the UAE the Biodynamic Craniosacral Therapy course came across my path. And without a doubt, I found myself more drawn to it than anything before. There was no way I was turning down this opportunity and in June 2016 completed the two year course. The profound biodynamic approach follows the body’s natural wisdom to heal itself. This way of life is definitely where my heart lies. Previously, my interest stemmed when it was suggested to me that I take my 6 week old daughter for a session. At that time, she didn’t know night from day and was struggling to form any sort of pattern. There were colic issues besides sleep. Not only did the connection between the two of us grow after one session but also within two weeks she had settled into a beautiful sleeping pattern and the colic issues were gone.
Furthermore, the natural progression for me from Craniosacral, not only in a work capacity but also the personal development aspect was Peter Levine’s Somatic Experiencing. Studying his book had me utterly mesmerised by the world of trauma healing! How our bodies adapt to what our external environment shows us from as early as the womb. I qualified in this modality in 2020 and from here I added Breathwork and Non-Linear Movement Method®. Finally, I have been given the wonderful opportunity to assist on the new Edinburgh training that started in December 2020! I feel especially blessed to again be able to experience knowledge and support from the most inspiring people I have met during this time.
